Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh for 2024 are drawing attention across the state· Historically, Andhra Pradesh has played a crucial role in national politics, often influencing government formation at the center with its swing votes· The state's unique mix of regional sentiments and strong local parties makes it a key battleground during elections·

In both the 2004 and 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Andhra Pradesh's swing votes proved decisive in helping the Congress secure victory at the center· However, despite winning two seats in 2014 and none in 2019, the BJP managed to form the central government· The emergence of the I·N·D·I·A alliance, comprising several regional parties from the state, adds a new dynamic to the political scenario, potentially impacting the BJP's ambitions in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections·

As for the timing of the Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, while the official dates for the 18th Lok Sabha elections are yet to be announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the state typically votes in the initial phases· Based on past trends, the mega elections in Andhra Pradesh are anticipated to be held in April·

In recent Lok Sabha elections, Andhra Pradesh has seen voting organized either in a single or double phase· The 2019 elections witnessed voting across all constituencies in a single phase· a similar pattern of single or double-phase elections will likely continue in 2024·

Andhra Pradesh boasts a significant number of Lok Sabha seats, with 25 constituencies in total· Out of these, four seats are reserved for SC candidates, and one seat is reserved for ST candidates· In the 2019 elections, the YSR Congress Party emerged as the dominant force in the state, securing 22 out of the 25 seats, while both the BJP and INC failed to win any seats·

Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh ICC World Cup 2023 Updates

Having nothing to lose, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh face each other in India's capital city today. Almost out of the competition, both these Asian nations will play to leave the tournament with some positivity. Despite having a profound understanding of the sub-continent pitches, both teams failed to make the most out of it. Both teams looked solid in the beginning with a mix of young and experienced players. While there were some remarkable individual performances, both teams failed to click at the right time.

So it is Shakib-Al-Hasan-led Bangladesh that emerged victorious against Sri Lanka in this game. Batting first, Charith Asalanka's century and a responsible knock from opener Pathum Nissanka and Sadeera Samarawickrama helped Sri Lanka set a target of 279. Although Bangladesh lost openers early, Najmul Shanto and Shakib Hasan ensured they would embrace the victory in their penultimate game of the World Cup. Angelo Matthews became the first player in cricket history to get dismissed as timed out in this game. Angelo Matthews and Bangladesh will be remembered forever for that weird out.

Match 37, India vs South Africa Updates - ICC World Cup 2023

India's stint of opponent demolition is up and running. Team India won 8 out of 8 and remains unbeaten. After troubling all its opponents, the Men in Blue continued to do the same with South Africa, arguably the most formidable team in the ongoing championship. The Proteas faced everyone with courage but failed miserably against India's mighty bowling unit.

Batting first, India put up a target of 326. It appeared that South Africa would chase the total in comfort and hand over the first loss to India. Like all other teams, South Africa had no answer to the Indian bowling and got bundled at just 83.

Virat Kohli, who celebrated his 35th birthday, made it more special with his 49th century. With this hundred, he equaled Sachin Tendulkar for maximum centuries in the ODIs.

ICC World Cup 2023 Match 33, India vs Sri Lanka Updates

Brimming high on confidence from their six successive wins, team India is all charged up to take on Sri Lanka today at the Wankhede. The Men in Blue are in tremendous form and look solid right now. While the captain led from the front in the last game, the rest are chipping at the right time and contributing to the team's success.

Inconsistency is troubling Sri Lanka, who lost to Afghanistan in their previous encounter before winning two back-to-back wins. If Sri Lanka aims to survive in this tournament, they must play with the right intent and clinch this game.

As expected, India defeated Sri Lanka and made it to the semis. Indian bowling looks more formidable than ever and has never allowed the opposite teams to play their full quota. Indian bowlers are rising to the occasion in every game and are confronting opponents with resounding grit. Batting first, although the Men in Blue lost opener Rohit early, the rest of the top order brought their A-game to the front and scored 357 on the board. Shubman Gill (92), Virat Kohli (88) and Shreyas Iyer (82) missed their centuries by a slight margin. Indian bowlers repeated the Asia Cup final and destroyed the Lankans by a mammoth 302. Sri Lanka's chances to go forward in the competition are almost vanished.
