 India's stint of opponent demolition is up and running. Team India won 8 out of 8 and remains unbeaten. After troubling all its opponents, the Men in Blue continued to do the same with South Africa, arguably the most formidable team in the ongoing championship. The Proteas faced everyone with courage but failed miserably against India's mighty bowling unit. 


Batting first, India put up a target of 326. It appeared that South Africa would chase the total in comfort and hand over the first loss to India. Like all other teams, South Africa had no answer to the Indian bowling and got bundled at just 83. 

Virat Kohli, who celebrated his 35th birthday, made it more special with his 49th century. With this hundred, he equaled Sachin Tendulkar for maximum centuries in the ODIs.
