Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium gears up for another juicy encounter. This time, the battle is between the unbeaten New Zealand and the mystic Afghanistan. With immense confidence from their last game, where they defeated the defending champions, Afghanistan will face New Zealand, sitting second on the points table with all three wins. The contest garnered a lot of excitement, and all eyes will be on the Afghani side. Will Hashmatullah Shahidi and Co. will be able to repeat the same? Will the Kiwis maintain their winning streak? Either way, this clash is sure to keep everyone glued to the screens.
So, New Zealand continues its terrific form in the World Cup
2023. The Kiwis registered a spectacular win against Afghanistan with a massive
margin and jumped to the top of the points table. Afghanistan paid the price
for leaving a few easy catches early in the innings. The Afghani bowlers
provided early breakthroughs but failed to break partnerships down the order.
Chasing 289, Hashmatullah Shahidi and Co. were never in the competition. New
Zealand bowlers destroyed the Afghanistan batting lineup and took their team
over the finish line.
