Despite kickstarting the campaign with a magnificent victory against the defending champions, Kolkata lost their previous three games in a row. In the last match against CSK, despite the absence of their skipper Hardik Pandya, Gujarat won a high tense game on the previous ball. A win in today's game will retake Gujarat to the top of the points table.
